Projects Real Life

Weekend Project

I spent all of saturday painting my sons bedroom. He has been really interested in the stars and planets lately (especially Saturn) so I decided to make his room space themed.

The plan in the future is to build a custom wall mounted bunkbed with a LEM moon lander theme. The ladder to go up and down will be mounted to a lander leg to really make it seem like his bed is a ship that has landed on the moon. Stars and other things for the walls are in the works.

BF4 Computer Games upgrades

Ready for BF4

Prepping for the release of BF4, I have installed a new video card. An upgrade that is long overdue. I was origionally planning to upgrade for BF3, but then I found that my current card was good enough to record videos and still play the game at 30FPS.

However I was never really happy with those specs and wanted more when BF4 was announced. So I have just recently installed an Asus Geforce GTX 770 2GB card. I was happy with the increased frame rate for BF3. But unfortunately I spent most of the BF4 Beta time troubleshooting lag and poor frame rates. I just couldn’t record without crashing. even playing was difficult because the game seemed to have hickups all the time. My Beta time was wasted.

The final update that happened fixed most of these problems, but it was too little too late. I didn’t have enough time to really enjoy the Beta and record before it was closed. Now I have to wait for the release of the actual game to find out if they have optimized it so that I will be able to continue making tutorial videos.

At any rate, I have wiped my computer and reinstalled everything so that I have a fresh computer ready for gaming and video making. Can’t wait for the 29th.

Aiming for Accuracy Shooting Videos

Aiming for Accuracy Part 1

The start of my new shooting video series:

I plan to do more real life scenarios. Try to make my shooting challenges fun and interesting while still teaching something about ballistics.
